A fisherman six meters tall, wearing a fish on his head about two and a half, is haunting Expo. Do not allow themselves to be fooled, however, by the impressive stature and do not fear the meeting with an ominous colossus. The strange character, with a gentle and funny silhouette, just four millimeters thick and eighty kilos of weight. It seems to come from an unknown island, from an unlikely Wonderland, easier to find in the imagination of a writer than in an atlas, or out of the pages of a comic book. And it was shaped by one of the most talented Italian illustrators, Guido Scarabottolo, which for the occasion has let instigating by his friend Marco Imperadori, anomalus engineer determined to dispel any common place concerning his professional category and first manager of one of the most bizarre artistic proposals (but also original and interesting) that animate the great Milano’s event … ” Michele Tavola.

The sculpture Il Pescatore has migrated from Cluster Sea Islands and Food Expo Milano 2015, the exhibition Wish held at the  l’Affiche Gallery in Milan in the form of projection, along with the many steel works by Guido Scarabottolo, and finally the island of Pantelleria, natural landing place for a migrant fisherman.

Atelier2 wanted and followed the set-up for Expo, has provided advice for the exhibition WISH of Milan, and finally to assist the dismantling and shipping to Pantelleria.

The proceeds of the sale of the sculpture went to the Mission of the Oblate Fathers of Mary active in Farim in Guinea Bissau.
